Progress...or lack of it!

It’s just as well I don’t have a deadline because progress is slow. I’m the world’s worst procrastinator!
The front is finished apart from the dormers. The dormer windows are a bit daunting...the first time round they were painted before they were put in place but this time I will have to mask them off and then paint very carefully to not botch it up.
I could do the sides or the back and leave the dormers for now but one side also has a tricky window. Some time ago I bought a fancy window for the upstairs bedroom. That bedroom will have a pretty pale green and white wallpaper and wicker furniture so when I saw an upstairs bay window with a wide window sill for ornaments I couldn’t resist it. Now, of course, I have to figure out how to install it and make a neat job of it.
It was raining this morning but it has dried up now and would be perfect for getting on with the painting...OK, I’ve talked myself into it. I’m off to do some more.

OK...here I go

Well, here I go....where on earth do I start! I'm sure I'll think of something to say as I get more used to this but right now it's all new and scary.
I've been making minis for about 9 years or so in earnest and off and on for years before that...starting as a kid making chests of drawers from matchboxes and treehouses in the bare branches of my grandmother's laurel bush...and then on through making mini things for my daughter's dollhouse and now finally I make them for my own enjoyment. Along the way I dabbled in most handcrafts, collecting tools and bits and bobs and driving my late husband to throw up his hands each time and say "not another hobby" but finally I get to use all that experience I gathered in one place.
At the moment I am repainting my dollshouse. I got it for my birthday 9 years ago...the whole family clubbed together to buy me the biggest house they could find. It got assembled and painted and.....it got no further! We knew we would be moving house in the next few years after I got it and I couldn't imagine trying to move a fully decorated house so although I collected furniture and other pieces it all went in boxes waiting... and waiting. We made the move 3 years ago but it is only now that I am in a position to get on with completing it and my first task is changing the colour from cream to the colour I wanted but couldn't have the first time around.
It's slow going, my health means I can only do a bit at a time. So far I've painted most of the front...that just leaves the rest of the front and 3 more sides! Then I can start on the inside...
